Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right.
Reverse: Eagle flying right, over Maeander pattern between caps of the Dioscuri, each surmounted by a star; above, a third star and AΠAMEON; in exergue, ANTIΦON / MENEKΛEOYΣ.
Attractive exemplar, looking MUCH better in hand than in photo (specially the superb reverse), in EF-/EF- condition, conserving good details, bold reliefs and a very nice green patina.
Magistrates Antifon and Menekleos.
SNG Cop 164. Apameia (Phrygia), circa 133-48 BC. 8,9 g - 22 mm
