Léon Sneyers (1877–1949) was a Belgian architect and designer associated with the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. A student of Paul Hankar, he was also influenced by the Vienna Secession. Sneyers designed several notable buildings in Brussels and represented Belgium at international exhibitions, including the 1907 Venice Biennale. His work combined geometric elegance with decorative modernism. This medal, sculpted by Maurice Xhrouet, honors Sneyers’ lasting influence on early 20th-century Belgian architecture and design.
