NGC MS 64.
Very popular in between collectors so-called "Contribution" or "Ransom" Taler of Frankfurt-am-Main, 1796. Very interesting piece from historic standpoint because those type of Talers were minted to pay ransom to the French Revolutionary General Kleber who occupied the City on 16th of July 1796 and hostages seven city counselors. He demanded 6 million francs in cash and another 2 million in supplies. Those type of talers were specially minted for the occasion and became very popular collectible find! We are offering one uncirculated and high grade speciemen with highly reflective fields, full cartwheel luster and sharp strike! Some small imperfections on reverse probably determined the grade - MS 64 by NGC. Still very interesting collectible piece of history!!
