Emperor Leopold's victory over the Turks near the monastery of St. Gotthard, today's Szentgotthard in Hungary. The Rhine League, of which France was a member, sent a contingent of 6,000 men. The Christian army was under the command of General Montecucoli. The French troops were commanded by Count de Coligny.
