 This collection is dedicated to the international competition taking place in France from September 8 to October 28, 2023. Tournament matches will be held in several cities in France, from Lille to Nice via Paris or Toulouse. This competition is the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world, and it has been held every four years since 1987. This is the second time that France has hosted it. Although they have never won the Webb Ellis Cup, the French team is one of the favorites to win this edition.

The obverse of the coin features a rugby player in full action running with a ball. Behind him stands an emblematic French monument and symbol of victory: the Arc de Triomphe. Under the arch, posts can be seen, as if the Arc were in the middle of a stadium. In the sky, an oval planet refers to the "rugby planet".

The reverse features the Webb Ellis Cup that the winner of the World Cup will have the joy of brandishing. To the left of the cup is the inscription RF, and to the right, the face value.
