The front of the banknote features a portrait of Simón Bolívar on the right, illustrated from Tito Salas' painting "Retrato Ecuestre de El Libertador," depicting Bolívar in equestrian attire. The central area is reserved for the watermark. On the left, the face value of "100" is clearly indicated. The name of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", is inscribed at the top and bottom, divided into two segments. The face value "100" is also visible in the right corner.
On the back, the banknote features the National Capitol on the left side, while the coat of arms of Venezuela is positioned on the right. The watermark area is located in the center. The denomination in words, "CIEN BOLÍVARES", appears at the top, and the name of the issuer, "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", is repeated at the bottom. The face value "100" is present in each corner.
The watermark reveals a portrait of Simón Bolívar, framed by two large letters "B" and "C". This banknote was printed by Bundesdruckerei (formerly Reichsdruckerei) in Berlin, Germany.
