This Iraqi 250 dinar banknote, issued in 1995, features a portrait of Saddam Hussein on its main face. The banknote is printed in lavender on a blue and multicolored background. On the front, a portrait of Saddam Hussein can be seen on the right side. In the center, a representation of the Haditha (Qadisiya) dam on the Euphrates River is visible. It is worth noting that there are variations in the color shades of this banknote.
The inscriptions on the front are in Arabic and English. They include the name of the Central Bank of Iraq (in Arabic and Central Bank of Iraq in English), as well as the face value of the banknote, which is two hundred fifty dinars (in Arabic and Two Hundred Fifty Dinars in English). A mention indicates that the banknote is issued under the law of the Central Bank of Iraq. The date of issue is also present, with the year 1415 AH corresponding to 1995 of the Gregorian calendar.
The back of the banknote features a bas-relief of the Freedom Monument located in Baghdad. As on the front, the inscriptions are in Arabic and English, with the denomination of the Central Bank of Iraq and the face value of the banknote.
