This Peruvian banknote, with a face value of 5 soles, was issued in 1956. It belongs to the J30 series.
The front of the banknote features a dominant green color on a uniform light blue background. In the center, there is a representation of Liberty seated, holding a shield and a staff. The serial number of the banknote is printed at the top, left and right. Textual inscriptions include the name of the issuing institution, "EL BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ", as well as the promise to pay the bearer "CINCO SOLES DE ORO" in accordance with Law Nº 10535. The date of issue, "22 DE MARZO DE 156", is also mentioned. All inscriptions are in the Latin alphabet.
The back of the banknote is printed in green and features the national coat of arms of Peru in the center. It also includes the name of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU", as well as the face value, "CINCO SOLES DE ORO". The inscriptions are also in the Latin alphabet.
