This banknote was issued by Lebanon in 1991. It has a face value of 1000 Lebanese pounds. Its dimensions are 157 mm in length and 67 mm in width.

The front of the banknote features a geographical map of Lebanon. This map highlights the contours and borders of the country, offering a visual representation of its territory.

The back of the banknote illustrates two distinct elements of Lebanese heritage. On the one hand, there is a representation of the columns of Baalbek, impressive vestiges of a major archaeological site, testifying to the ancient history of the region. On the other hand, the back also features an image of the building housing the Banque du Liban in Beirut, symbolizing the country's central financial institution.

In watermark, the banknote reveals a cedar motif, the national emblem of Lebanon. This tree, a symbol of strength and longevity, is a recurring element of the country's visual identity.
