This 1 Franc banknote was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Rochefort-sur-Mer. It belongs to the 5th series and was deliberated on February 25, 1920.
On the front of the banknote, one can read the inscription "5ème SERIE" at the top, followed by "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE ROCHEFORT-SUR-MER". Below, the mention "Délibération du 25 Février 1920" indicates the date of the emission decision. The nominal value "1 FRANC" is clearly displayed, accompanied by the signatures of the Treasurer and the President. A serial number, "445.543", is also present. The inscription "IMP KELLER FRERES ANGOULÊME" identifies the printer.
The back of the banknote bears the inscription "5ème SERIE" at the top. An inscription specifies that the banknote must be presented for reimbursement before December 31, 1925, under penalty of prescription. The nominal value "1 FRANC" is repeated.
