France 10 euros - Olympe de Gouges & Occitania - Hexagonal Silver - 2026 UNC

This French commemorative coin, struck in silver, boasts a distinctive hexagonal shape and has a face value of 10 euros. The coin's issue is dated 2024.

The coin weighs 17 grams and has a diameter of 31.8 millimeters. It is dedicated to Olympe de Gouges and the Occitanie region. The mintage is 25,000 copies.

The central motif on the coin's face is the Occitan cross, around which various regional symbols are articulated. A portrait of Olympe de Gouges, a woman of letters and a revolutionary figure originating from Montauban, occupies a prominent place. Below her effigy, the Nîmes arenas are depicted, testifying to the region's rich architectural heritage.

On the left side, tribute is paid to the natural heritage of Occitanie with a view of the Pyrenees mountain range and a bust of an ibex, an emblematic animal of these mountains. A starry sky, where Saturn orbits and a rocket is launched, symbolizes the aeronautical and space industry, closely linked to the city of Toulouse, the capital of the Occitanie region.
