Issued in 2026 by the Royal Canadian Mint, this commemorative 2 Dollar coin celebrates the 50th anniversary of the CN Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Toronto and Canada.
Inaugurated in 1976, the CN Tower has become a major symbol of the city of Toronto. Originally built as a telecommunications tower, it quickly established itself as one of the most recognizable Canadian architectural achievements in the world.
The reverse places the CN Tower at the centre of the composition, set against the urban skyline of Toronto. The number 50 and the inscriptions "YEARS - ANS" mark its 50th anniversary. The legend "CANADA 2 DOLLARS" completes the design.
The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III, accompanied by his name and the year 2026.
Like the current Canadian 2 Dollar coins, this issue features a bimetallic construction, with a golden core surrounded by a silver-coloured ring.
Specifications: Canada - 2026 - 2 Dollars - 50th Anniversary of the CN Tower - bimetallic - diameter 28 mm - weight 6.99 g.
