TORTOISE AND HARE Fables and Proverbs 2 Oz Silver Coin 2000 Francs Cameroon 2026 Antique Finish

This evocative 2 Oz Silver coin is part of the "Fables & Proverbs" series, a journey through timeless stories and the wisdom hidden inside them. This edition brings to life the legendary race between the tortoise and the hare. One rushes ahead. One keeps moving. Confidence sleeps beneath a tree while perseverance continues along the road. The lesson is simple. Unforgettable. "SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE". Struck in Silver with an Antique Finish, the rural landscape emerges in sculpted shades of grey, while selective coloration brings the tortoise and hare vividly into focus. The coin comes in a capsule and case with its Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of only 333 pieces worldwide! The reverse of this Silver coin depicts the timeless fable of the tortoise and the hare. In the foreground, the tortoise moves steadily along the path, rendered in vivid green with a richly colored brown shell and dark sunglasses. Behind it, the hare rests peacefully beneath a tree, eyes closed, unaware that the race continues without him. Around the two characters stretches a quiet countryside of trees, traditional huts, winding paths and distant mountains, all sculpted in the muted tones of the Antique Finish. Humor and wisdom meet in one scene. Speed pauses. Persistence keeps going. At the bottom of the reverse, across a ribbon stretched along the path, the inscription: "SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE" - the proverb and moral at the heart of the fable. The obverse presents the Coat of Arms of Cameroon at the center. All around, the inscription: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" - the issuing country. Above the Coat of Arms are the inscriptions: "PAIX" and "PEACE", "TRAVAIL" and "WORK", "PATRIE" and "FATHERLAND". To the left and right, the inscriptions: "20" and "26" - together forming the year of issue, 2026. On the ribbon beneath the Coat of Arms, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON" and "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN". At the bottom, the inscription: "2000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value.
