Context: WWF Conservation Series

Cross-border stamping program of the 1970s with endangered species. Uniform weights, alloys and diameters create comparability and facilitate the systematic development of collections.

Subject Portrait: Scimitar-horned Oryx

The horns, which are bent far back, and the calm posture create a balanced image. In high mint-state grades, the motif separations stand out clearly, making the animal appear very present in pictures and in the display case.

Context: Dating AH 1396 and 1976

The inscription AH 1396 and 1976 is on the coin. Since AH 1396 covers approximately the end of 1975 to the end of 1976, both dates are correct. In the title we use 1976 and list both references in the data block.
