Lined with the INTERCEPT® material on the inside, the box actively protects your collectibles from oxidation and aging. Suitable for protecting coins, medals and paper. Suitable for coin sets, postcards, letters, plug-in cards, documents etc. up to the format 180 x 160 mm. External format: 331 x 160 x 185 mm. Material of the box: cardboard (2 mm thick)

The mode of operation of the INTERCEPT®-Box is based on INTERCEPT® technology, which has been patented for over 30 years: the copper particles contained in the material bind corrosive gases permanently and in a very short time create a neutralized atmosphere that protects coins and documents from tarnishing (guaranteed protection from up to 15 years *). The effect has been proven according to the proven standards DIN, EN, ISO and ASTM. In order to extend the life of the Intercept Box beyond 15 years, it is advisable to close the box immediately after use and to avoid opening it frequently.

* Under normal storage conditions, the duration of action extends well beyond the 15 years specified! Only under very unfavorable conditions (e.g. exceptionally high air pollution or constant opening of the capsules / boxes) can the capacity of the intercept material be used up by the end of the 15 years. You can see the deterioration in the effectiveness of the material from a dark gray to greenish discoloration of the foil (not the coins!). In this case, you should replace the product with a new one.
