Dear Numex OÜ Team, I am delighted to share my experience purchasing the Poland/Livonia 1 Schilling of Jan Hieronim Chodkiewicz (1572–1573) from Dahlen. Your service exemplifies the gold standard for international numismatic dealers. Seller Expertise & Communication: Your detailed historical and numismatic context elevated my understanding of this coin's significance. The background on Chodkiewicz's role during the Livonian War and the coin's economic/political importance was invaluable. You responded professionally to all inquiries and provided transparent information about condition and provenance. Accuracy - Exactly as Described: The coin arrived precisely as listed—AU/UNC condition with superb mint luster intact. The billet metal, weight (0.96g), and design elements match the catalog references (Kopicki 3111 R3, Haljak 981a) perfectly. No surprises, only excellent accuracy. Condition & Grading: The preservation is exceptional. The mint luster gleams beautifully, and the strike is sharp. For a coin minted nearly 450 years ago, this specimen represents an outstanding example of 16th-century Livonian coinage—a true centerpiece for a collection focused on Baltic history and the Livonian War period. Packing & Shipping: The coin arrived securely packaged with professional care, and international shipping to the US was efficient and well-tracked. Your worldwide shipping capability is a tremendous asset for collectors outside Europe. Historical Significance: This Schilling is more than a numismatic artifact—it's a tangible connection to a pivotal moment in Polish-Lithuanian and Livonian history. Chodkiewicz's military leadership during the Livonian War makes this coin particularly meaningful, and the Dahlen mint mark adds provenance authenticity. Highly Recommended: Your reputation—1272 ratings with 99.8% positive feedback—is well-earned. I will absolutely purchase from you again and enthusiastically recommend Numex OÜ to fellow collectors seeking rare medieval and Renaissance coinage with professional service and fair pricing. Thank you for this outstanding acquisition and for your commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Best regards, Todd T. Heintz Response of the seller: Thank you very much for your detailed and kind review, Todd. We’re glad the coin matched the description and that packing and shipping to the US went well. You’re always welcome at Numex OÜ / MA-Shops arto.
