1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to transactions in which non-residents of Japan (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”) purchase products through the website operated by Coin Blessing (hereinafter referred to as the “Store”) and such products are exported from Japan.

2. Prices and Payment

2.1 Product prices do not include Japanese consumption tax, as the transactions are eligible for export tax exemption. However, product prices may include packaging fees, administrative fees, or other handling charges.

2.2 Payment shall be made by the payment methods designated by the Store, including PayPal, bank transfer, or other methods specified by the Store. Any difference arising from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates shall be borne by the Customer.

2.3 The Store may cancel an order if there is any suspicion of fraudulent use or unauthorized activity.

2.4 In the event of a chargeback in connection with a credit card payment, the Store may claim compensation from the Customer for any costs, fees, losses, and damages incurred in relation to the relevant transaction.

3. Shipping and Export/Import Procedures

3.1 Unless otherwise agreed, products shall be shipped from Japan under delivery terms determined according to the destination country, carrier, postal requirements, and applicable customs procedures. Import-related charges shall be allocated in accordance with Sections 3.3 and 3.4 of these Terms.

3.2 Products shall be shipped by international postal service, including EMS, or by international courier services such as FedEx, DHL, or other carriers.

3.3 The Store shall handle customs procedures required for export from Japan. However, all import customs procedures in the destination country, as well as customs duties, consumption tax, VAT, import taxes, and any other public charges, shall be borne solely by the Customer.

3.4 Where required by the applicable postal operator, carrier, customs authority, or other shipping procedure, the Store may be required to prepay customs duties, import taxes, customs clearance charges, or other shipment-specific import-related fees on behalf of the Customer before dispatch. In such cases, unless such charges are expressly stated as included in the item price, the Customer remains responsible for the actual amount incurred, and the Store may request reimbursement of such amount separately before shipment. Any such reimbursement will be based on the actual shipment-specific cost and will not include an arbitrary seller markup.

3.5 If the Customer refuses to pay customs duties, taxes, or other import-related charges and the product is returned to the Store, the Customer shall be responsible for the outbound and return shipping costs, as well as any actual handling fees and expenses incurred by the Store.

3.6 Delivery times are estimates only. Delivery may be delayed due to customs clearance procedures, transportation conditions, or other circumstances beyond the Store’s control.

4. Export Regulations and Protection of Cultural Properties

4.1 The Store shall comply with the Cultural Properties Protection Act of Japan and other applicable export-related laws and regulations. The Store shall not sell items that cannot legally be exported, including Important Cultural Properties and other restricted items.

4.2 If, during the customs clearance process, it is determined that an export permit or other authorization is required, additional time may be required before shipment.

4.3 The Customer shall be responsible for confirming in advance all laws and regulations applicable in the Customer’s own country, including import restrictions on gold, silver, bullion, precious metals, antiques, collectibles, cultural goods, or other similar items.

If a product is confiscated, destroyed, delayed, rejected, or otherwise affected due to laws, regulations, customs procedures, or import restrictions in the destination country, the Store shall assume no liability and shall not be obligated to refund the purchase price or reship the product.

5. Nature, Condition, and Authenticity of Products

5.1 Antique coins are pre-owned items with historical value and may have wear, scratches, discoloration, cleaning marks, or other signs of age and prior handling.

5.2 The Store respects the opinions and grading results issued by third-party grading companies. However, the Store does not accept returns based on differences in subjective opinions regarding condition, grade, appearance, eye appeal, or similar matters.

5.3 The Store guarantees that all products sold by the Store are authentic to the best of the Store’s professional knowledge and belief at the time of sale.

If a product is proven not to be genuine by a recognized third-party grading company, authentication service, or another qualified numismatic expert reasonably accepted by the Store, the Customer may request a return and refund in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Return Policy separately established by the Store.

5.4 In order to make a claim based on authenticity, the Customer must notify the Store in writing and provide reasonable supporting evidence, including, where applicable, a written opinion, report, or determination issued by a recognized third-party grading company, authentication service, or qualified numismatic expert.

The Store may require the Customer to return the product to the Store for inspection before any refund is issued. The product must be returned in the same condition as delivered, without alteration, cleaning, damage, removal from any holder, or any other change. If the product was sold in a third-party grading holder, the certification number and holder must match the product originally sold.

5.5 If the Store accepts an authenticity claim, the Store shall refund the purchase price actually paid for the product after receiving and confirming the returned product.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the Store shall not be liable for customs duties, VAT, import taxes, shipping charges, insurance fees, grading fees, authentication fees, bank fees, foreign exchange losses, lost profits, or any other indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

5.6 Descriptions, attributions, grades, dates, varieties, and opinions issued by third-party grading companies or experts are matters of professional opinion and may differ among grading companies, experts, collectors, or market participants.

A difference of opinion regarding grade, condition, eye appeal, attribution, variety, date, strike, surface condition, or market value shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, return, or refund, unless the product is proven not to be genuine in accordance with this Section.

6. Risk of Loss or Damage

6.1 Unless otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, the risk of loss, destruction, or damage to the product shall transfer to the Customer when the Store delivers the product to the carrier designated by the Store.

6.2 The allocation of import duties, taxes, customs-related charges, and other import expenses shall be governed by Section 3 of these Terms, regardless of whether such amounts are paid directly by the Customer upon importation or prepaid by the Store on the Customer’s behalf.

6.3 For high-value products, the Store recommends that the Customer purchase separate shipping insurance. If shipping insurance is not purchased, the Store shall not be liable for any transportation accident, loss, theft, damage, or other incident beyond the scope of compensation provided by the carrier.

7. Returns and Cancellations

Returns, cancellations, and refunds shall be governed by the Return Policy separately established by the Store.

The Customer shall review and agree to the Return Policy before placing an order.

These Terms and Conditions and the Return Policy shall together constitute part of the transaction terms between the Store and the Customer.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

8.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

8.2 In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the district court having jurisdiction over the location of the Store’s head office shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
