This medal is part of a series of four oval medals commissioned in 1468 to Cristoforo di Geremia to commemorate the "Peace of Italy". On February 2, 1468, Paul II took the initiative to issue a bull for the peace of Italy. The peace, published on April 25, was celebrated in Rome on May 8, 1468, with the declaration of the renewal of the Italic League. Very old, possibly original cast!
