The 2018 issue of the Cayman Islands 5 dollar bill features a dominant green color scheme on a multicolored background. On the front, the coat of arms of the Cayman Islands is positioned on the center right, accompanied by a depiction of a turtle. The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the right side of the bill, while the denominations are inscribed in opposite corners.

The Latin inscriptions include the name of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, the face value of five dollars, and the statement that this bill is legal tender for that amount. The names of the islands Cayman Brac, Little Cayman, and Grand Cayman are also included. A quote "HE HATH FOUNDED IT UPON THE SEAS" is present, along with the titles of the Minister of Finance and the Managing Director.
