The 10 Quetzales banknote from Guatemala, issued in 2021, commemorates General Granados and the National Assembly of 1872. This banknote belongs to Series D.
The obverse of the banknote features a portrait of Miguel García Granados. He was President of Guatemala from June 30, 1871, to June 4, 1873. The inscriptions are in Latin script and Braille.
On the reverse, a scene depicts a session of the National Legislative Assembly of 1872. The texts are written in Latin and Mayan languages.
The banknote's watermark includes an electrotype representing the number 10. It also features the number 10 in letters and its equivalent in Mayan numerals, represented by the symbol =.
