 In Chinese culture, this mythical animal symbolises power, nobility and success. Natives of the sign of the Dragon are therefore naturally charismatic people to whom good fortune often smiles.

 In the centre of the coin face, a snake undulates around a ring engraved with traditional Chinese motifs. The reptile is in motion, partly wrapped around the ring and seemingly ready to escape from the edges of the coin, which are decorated with orchids, the flower associated with this sign. The impression of calm that emanates from the representation of the snake refers directly to what is one of the main characteristics of the natives of this sign. The ideogram ‘Serpent’ appears on one of the curves of the body. The year 2025 and the inscription ‘Year of the Snake’ appear on the outline of the design.
 The reverse features all the animals of the Chinese zodiac on a screen surrounding a traditional temple door. A complete cycle of the Chinese zodiac begins in 2018 and lasts until 2029. Each of these twelve years therefore features an animal from this calendar. The face value can be seen in the top left-hand corner and the word ‘RF’ can be seen on the door.
