Daniel Casal Fernández and Pablo Núñez Meneses have edited a catalog on Jubia, the last of the Galician mints.
The book with a prologue by Dr. A. I. Bello Platas begins with a brief introduction by the authors to give way to the catalog itself.
More than 200 specimens photographed in high resolution are cataloged and in the vast majority of cases the images correspond to the best known specimens.
Curiosities such as minting errors or resealed pieces are also incorporated.
A large number of period fakes are catalogued, something unprecedented to date.
The authors wanted to go beyond a simple catalogue, incorporating a large number of notes and clarifications of great value for the collector and/or scholar.
Finally, they surprise the reader with several appendices, including: more than 30 metallographic analyses, tables and graphs that compare the relative rarity between different specimens, officially published print runs...
