On the front of the note, the printing is done in brown, red and blue, with a yellow underprint. There is a woman's head positioned on the left, facing right. On the right, a man is depicted plowing the land with oxen (Bos taurus). The text is printed in French, Arabic and Amharic. The inscriptions include "BANQUE DE L'INDO-CHINE", "CENT FRANCS", "DJIBOUTI", as well as the mentions "LE PRÉSIDENT" and "LE DIRECTEUR GÉNÉRAL ADJOINT". The scripts used are Arabic, Ge'ez and Latin.

The back of the note features a brown, blue and red print, with a yellow underprint. A man holding an anchor is depicted on the right, facing left. Three workers are изображены on the left. The text is also printed in French, Arabic and Amharic. The inscriptions include "BANQUE DE L'INDO-CHINE", "DJIBOUTI", and the warning "LE CONTREFACTEUR SERA PUNIT DES TRAVAUX FORCÉS A PÉRPÉTUITE".
