On the front of the note, the printing is done in brown, red and blue, with a yellow underprint. There is a woman's head positioned on the left, facing right. On the right, a man is depicted plowing the land with oxen (Bos taurus). The text is printed in French, Arabic and Amharic. The inscriptions include "BANQUE DE L'INDO-CHINE", "CENT FRANCS", "DJIBOUTI", as well as the mentions "LE PRÉSIDENT" and "LE DIRECTEUR GÉNÉRAL ADJOINT". The scripts used are Arabic, Ge'ez and Latin.
The back of the note features a brown, blue and red print, with a yellow underprint. A man holding an anchor is depicted on the right, facing left. Three workers are изображены on the left.
