The 25 Egyptian piastres banknote, issued in 2006, features a dominant purple and pale colour scheme on a light lilac background enhanced with multicoloured patterns. The obverse features the Al-Sayeda Aisha Mosque, an important religious building, positioned in the centre of the banknote.

The signature of Farouk El Okda, identified as being of the second type, also appears on the obverse. The inscriptions are written in Arabic, using Kufi and Naskh writing styles. They include the designation of the Central Bank of Egypt and the face value of the banknote, namely twenty-five piastres.

The reverse of the banknote depicts the standard coat of arms of the Arab Republic of Egypt, surrounded by representations of corn, cotton and wheat, symbols of the country's agriculture. The inscriptions are this time in Latin, with the mention "Central Bank of Egypt" and "Twenty Five Piastres", as well as the numerical value "25".

The watermark represents Tutankhamun in a large format, adding an element of security and identification to the banknote. The printing is carried out by the printing works of the Central Bank of Egypt. The dimensions of the banknote are 129 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
